Security & data protection
An estate inventory means handling a family's most private information. This page shows you, clearly and honestly, how we protect it and what we never do.
Your data is yours, and it is not for sale. The service is a one-time 99 euro payment, so we earn from the service, not from your data. We have no ads and no reason to sell or share anything.
Your data stays in the EU and is encrypted. You can download all of it or delete it whenever you want. The AI assistant never sees personal identity codes. Below we go through each point in detail.

You can verify us in the Finnish Business Information System (YTJ). A real person answers email at tuki@perukirja.io.
The application is hosted in the EU, in Frankfurt, Germany (AWS), with the database in the same region (Neon).
Pesäavustaja helps by answering questions about your specific estate, so it sees some of your case data. We are open about what is and isn't sent to it. You can use the entire service without it.
Only you see the estate data you enter here. Other shareholders or relatives cannot access it through you. Your password is not stored in readable form, so not even we can see it.
In Settings you can download all your data as a single file and delete your account and all estate data. Deletion is confirmed by an email link. If you ever stop, your data is yours to take with you.
Payment and accounting records are kept for six years as required by law, and data in backups is removed once the restore window closes. You will find exact retention periods in the privacy policy.
Your estate data is stored in the EU. We use a few trusted partners to run the service; some, such as email, may process limited data outside the EU under EU data-protection safeguards. Here is each one, openly:
