Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the perukirja.io service ('Service'), you agree to these Terms of Service ('Terms'). These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Regulus Holding Oy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Service Description & Disclaimers

perukirja.io is a 'Smart Form Wizard' and preparation tool for estate inventory (perunkirjoitus) in Finland:

• NOT A LAW FIRM: We do not provide legal or tax representation.
• No Legal Advice: The service and AI assistant provide guidance, not advice.
• Trustees Required: Finnish law requires two Trustees (uskotut miehet) to verify the final document.

The Service is an assistance tool; you remain responsible for the accuracy of all submitted data.

3. Eligibility

You represent that:

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You have the authority to manage the estate data you submit.
• Information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

4. Accounts and Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining confidentiality of your credentials
• Activities occurring under your account
• Notifying us immediately of suspected unauthorized access

We may suspend access to protect security or prevent abuse.

5. Acceptable Use

You must not:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes
• Attempt to bypass security controls
• Interfere with platform operations
• Use automated means to abuse AI features

We may restrict or terminate accounts for violations.

6. AI Assistant Disclaimer

• It does not constitute legal or professional advice.
• You are responsible for validating legally significant outcomes.
• For complex or disputed matters, consult a qualified professional.

7. User Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You are solely responsible for the legality and accuracy of all data submitted through the Service.

8. Fees, Billing, and Refunds

Commercial terms:

• Pricing is shown at the time of purchase.
• 100 % Satisfaction Guarantee: If you are not satisfied with the Service for any reason, you may request a full refund within 90 days of purchase — no questions asked.
• EU Right of Withdrawal: You also have a 14-day statutory right of withdrawal under EU consumer law.

All fees are processed through secure payment partners. To request a refund under the satisfaction guarantee, contact tuki@perukirja.io within 90 days of your purchase.

9. Availability and Changes

We may update or discontinue features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may perform maintenance.

10. Intellectual Property

All software, branding, and content (except your private data) are owned by Regulus Holding Oy or its licensors.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend access if:

• You breach these Terms
• Security or legal reasons require action
• The Service is discontinued

Termination does not affect obligations accrued before termination.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided 'as is'
• Our total liability is capped at the amount you paid for the Service
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages

Liability is not limited for gross negligence or willful misconduct where mandatory law prohibits such limitation.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Regulus Holding Oy against claims arising from your unlawful use of the Service or breach of these Terms.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Disputes will be handled in the Helsinki District Court (Helsingin käräjäoikeus).

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
